Rebranding Initiative Announced by Strong National Museum of Play®
Renamed “The Strong®” with Five Interlocking Play Partners

TASP is pleased to share that our friends at Strong National Museum of Play have announced a major rebranding initiative to better define itself in ways that more accurately encompass its growing play-related collections and programs and the increasingly diverse audiences it serves.

Strong National Museum of Play is now referred to as “The Strong” and remains a highly interactive, collections-based educational institution devoted to the study and exploration of play. The Strong will now carry out its mission through five programmatic arms, or “Play Partners,” known individually as the National Museum of Play®, the International Center for the History of Electronic Games® (ICHEG), the National Toy Hall of Fame®, the Brian Sutton-Smith Library and Archives of Play®, and the American Journal of Play®.

All the organization’s multi-faceted play resources are now linked together under The Strong umbrella and have also been made accessible to anyone anywhere though a series of new websites, which can be accessed through www.thestrong.org. Each Play Partner carries its own logo and identity and contributes an important, interlocking piece in the study of play and the ways it encourages learning, creativity, and discovery and illuminates cultural history.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with The Strong, and we encourage you to visit their new sites to learn more about this exciting endeavor.
